As usual, my travel parties and I did not book seat assignments whatsoever and banked on checking in 2.5 hours before the flight. The check-in staff member who handled me was in his best mood, assisting us with a smile, professionalism, and efficiency. We did not ask for special seat arrangements, and as a result, he did not override the automatic seat assignment system (I did not ask it to be done; we can survive being separated for only 2 hours). We were scattered all along the plane, some in the middle section and some at the rear, myself included, but nobody got a middle seat, all aisles and windows. The boarding gate staff members were friendly and energetic, and upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur, our bags arrived without delay. I gave the ground staff members a score of 36.5/40.
