Check-in

After fetching my bags from my previous ANA flight and clearing Global Entry in under 30 seconds, I proceeded to the aisle reserved for transit/connecting passengers, and Alaska, alongside Delta and JetBlue, has dedicated check-in counters and kiosks for my use. I went to one of the kiosks and simply printed a new bag tag, with my boarding pass already on my phone since I had checked in when I was still at Haneda Airport, more than 12 hours before the flight. I then proceeded to the Alaska Airlines counter, where I was assisted by a smiling ground staff member who told me that I did not need to do anything other than just hand over the bag to the worker nearby, and my bag was soon on its way. I then passed the security check, which was segregated by nationality, and my TSA PreCheck status meant that all my items could stay inside. I then took the Seattle Underground, an automated people mover system, to my gate at Concourse N, reaching there in just 37 minutes. Everyone else with whom I interacted was smiley and in an upbeat mood, and my bags made it to DFW with only 10 minutes of waiting. Alaska guarantees a 20-minute bag arrival time with extra miles or travel credit if they fail to do so; my experience proves that I can take them at their word. I gave the ground staff members a perfect score of 40/40.

Made with prior communication.

Before boarding, creating videos onboard, and reviewing this flight, I communicated with and/or asked for permission from the airline. This does NOT impede the truth values of the scores and reviews written on this site, as well as in my videos and Instagram posts. As usual, I will never lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.
