Check-in

Check-in at Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal 2 was automated. I had to use the check-in kiosk to print my bag tag and boarding pass, and drop my bag at the automated machine. Unfortunately, the bag drop system is super sensitive to the bag's weight. It used mathematical rounding rules and, perhaps by logic error, rejected my bag even though the cumulative total equals my purchased baggage allowance. Instead of calculating my bags as 13.5 kg + 6.5 kg, the system calculated it as 14kg + 7kg, which totals 21kg instead of 20kg. The ground staff members were overall helpful and professional, but their only advise to this issue was to offload some items. This was the only thing that made the ground experience a bit hectic, but it was hectic enough to be given a score of 33.5/40.
